CHENGDU, Feb. 6 (NBD) -- Chengdu has been approved as a pilot city for China's first ten-year national plan for manufacturing transformation, "Made in China 2025", according to approval by Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of the People's Republic of China.

The approval is designed to put Chengdu, in Southwest China, on a path to advanced manufacturing center and manufacturing base under the nation's global strategic planning, with greater emphasis on innovation and supportive measures for modern manufacturing system construction, innovation talent development, investment and funding, bolstering for enterprises and more. 

This is viewed as an opportunity and platform for the city's industrial transformation. Measures taken in above respect will also facilitate Chengdu to set example for a nationwide implementation of "Made in China 2025".
