CHENGDU, Jan. 20 (NBD) -- Cai Qi was elected mayor of Beijing at the fifth plenary session of the 14th Beijing Municipal People's Congress. 

Zhang Shuofu was appointed to the post of the director of Beijing's first supervisory committee.  

Li Wei was named the director of the standing committee of the National People's Congress.
