CHENGDU, Jan.10 (NBD) -- The performance of A-share market lagged far behind other overseas counterparts in the past year. However, bull market expectations start to rise with the possible influx of pension funds and the possible MSCI Emerging Markets Index's inclusion of A-share in 2017.

During the 17th UBS Greater China Conference held in Shanghai, UBS said A-shares are expected to rise 10%.

Gao Ting, a senior analyst of UBS Securities, predicted that the Shanghai Shenzhen CSI 300 will reach 3750 points at the end of 2017 (it is closed at 3363.9 yesterday). Tight monetary policies will continue and the average returns of A-shares will rise.

He also told NBD that pension funds will go into the stock market this year but is hard to say when.
