CHENGDU, Jan.6 (NBD) -- Small and medium property developers may seize the opportunity as the burgeoning numbers of Chinese are expecting more green buildings.

China Gezhouba Real Estate (Gezhouba) is one of the compilers of the sustainable building standards. Wang Qingqin, vice dean of China Academy of Building Research, said that Gezhouba has set up a 5G expert commission and plans to partner with the German Sustainable Building Council DGNB to get its own version of DGNB certification system.

Last June, Landsea and Wanke launched a campaign for green supply chain of building materials, which is designed to minimize environment pollutions. In addition, they plan to popularize their purchasing standards of building materials.

China Jinmao and Tongfang Technovator have reached a strategic agreement in September, 2016, which covers green energy consumption, building O&M and property management. They also called for a green real estate circle.

As expected, the vast majority will benefit from the sustainable building standards.
