CHENGDU, Jan. 4 (NBD) -- Sixty-four out-of-town salt companies have submitted enterprise and product information sheets for business operation in Sichuan province as of January 3, 2017, according to a person-in-charge with the Sichuan Salt Affairs Bureau. 

The China's southwestern province will build a new professional edible salt supervision mechanism and a salt industry management system in line with national and provincial conditions by the end of this year, and complete all tasks specified in the reform plan for the salt industry system of Sichuan province by the end of next year.

The Sichuan Provincial Economic and Information Commission will oversee the province's salt industry and formulate related plans and industrial policies.  

Sichuan Salt Industry Corporation will promote a system restructuring to separate government functions from enterprise management to adapt to market changes.
