CHENGDU, Dec. 29 (NBD) -- The General Office of the State Council recently issued the guiding opinions on further promoting the development of agricultural products processing. 

China expects to increase the processing and conversion rate of agricultural products to 68 percent by 2020 and to 75 percent by 2025, according to the document. The ratio of the agricultural products processing industry and total output value of agriculture will be increased to 2.4:1 by 2020 and to a similar level as developed countries by 2025. 

The country will push the development of the agricultural products processing industry by optimizing structure, promoting new types of operation, speeding up industry transformation and upgrading, and improving supporting policies and measures.
