CHENGDU, Dec. 19 (NBD) -- In order to meet the demands of the rapid development of electric vehicles, State Grid Corporation of China is to further increase investment in electric vehicles’ charging facilities. By 2020, it is planned to complete 10,000 charging stations and 120,000 charging piles, forming a fast charging network with the radius less than 1km in Beijing, Shanghai and Hangzhou.

It is estimated that the construction speed of charging pile needs to accelerate in the next few years in order to create a 1:1 relationship between vehicle and charging pile.

According to an industry analyst, there is a huge market for the construction of charging pile from a small number into normal phase. The developing speed in charging pile industry is expected to be positive in the next 2 to 3 years while in the long term, the growth is likely to return to a normal speed.
