CHENGDU, Dec.16 (NBD) -- Ministry of Commerce (MOC) announced on Wednesday that the service trade volume totaled 429.15 billion yuan (61.7 billion US dollars) from January to October with a YoY increase of 16%, of which imports of services stood at 146.25 billion yuan (21.05 billion US dollars) and exports of services 282.90 billion yuan (40.7 billion US dollars).

Sun Jiwen, spokesman of MOC, has noted that service trades make growing contributions to foreign trade volume. Value-added services like technology, maintenance, and advertising are exported at a quicker pace. Imports of services, represented by tourism and international studies are also increase rapidly.
