CHENGDU, Dec. 13 (NBD) -- Lin Shunjie, officer of China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT), said on Monday that more than 3000 exhibitions were held in China in 2016.

Speaking at a press conference, Lin Shunjie introduced that a total number of 3052 exhibitions were held this year, mostly in Beijing, Shanghai and Guangdong. 

He added China’s exhibition industry has entered into a developing stage and the exhibition market keeps a steady progress.

Lin eleborated that in 2016, a growing number of exhibitions were held in second-tier and third-tier cities. With the improvement in the industry’s standardization, the growing exhibition market achieves initial success in brand building.
