CHENGDU, Nov. 28 (NBD) -- Sanya unveiled its 13^th Five Year Plan of tourism development, promoting the construction of demonstration areas and aiming to build itself into an internationally influential tourism resort.

According to the plan, the China's sought-after getaway proclaimed its positioning of “one city, two areas and four bases”. “One city” means the world-leading tropic coastal tourism city, “two areas” consist of the national holistic tourism demonstration area and the national tourism free-trade area, “four bases” encompass the national demonstration base of tropic wedding culture, the experience base of Maritime Silk Road culture, the national sports & leisure base and China’s leisure base for diplomatic activities. The city planed to create a tourist attraction characterized by cultural experience targeting overseas tourism market.

To accomplish those tasks, Sanya will further reform its tourism mechanism and perfect its coordination system, enforcement mechanism of tourism regulations and standardization system of tourism development.
